What are cookies?
Cookies (and similar technologies like localStorage) are small text files that a website can store in your browser. Some are essential — without them the site simply won't work. Others help the site owner understand how the site is used.
What we use
The full list, updated in February 2026:
| Name | Purpose | Category | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| newjay-cookie-consent | Remembers your choice on this banner so we don't nag you. | Essential | 1 year |
| newjay-admin-token | Keeps you logged in to /admin (only ever set on your device, only if you're the admin). | Essential | 7 days |
| ph_* | PostHog anonymous session ID + page-view tracking so we can see how the site is used. | Analytics (opt-in) | 12 months |
Signing pages are never recorded
Even if you've accepted analytics, we disable PostHog on every URL starting with /sign/. Your signature capture is confidential.
Changing your choice
Clear your browser's storage for newjaylettings.co.uk (Settings → Privacy → Clear site data on most browsers) and refresh the page — the consent banner will reappear and you can choose again.
